Absolutely ICONIC, hard hitting lyrics and message, fucking inspirational. One of the best albums of all time imo Favorite track: Conform.

And the track "Grim Reaper" even has some Avantgarde/Freejazz-influences - this might be the first Jazzcore/Jazzgrind-Track ever recorded. Favorite track: Grim Reaper.

Murph More people need to know about bands like this who were way ahead of their time all those years ago. Highly recommend to any fan starting out in the hardcore genre and getting their feet planted. Favorite track: Cold War.

Siege was an American hardcore punk band from Weymouth, Massachusetts. They were active in the 1980s Boston hardcore scene from 1983 to 1985, and reunited briefly in the early 1990s. Siege’s unprecedented level of extreme hardcore punk was some of the fastest and heaviest of its time, incorporating lightning fast tempos, chord changes, vocal delivery, and blast beats into its style, thus setting the stage for the emerging grindcore scene. And though rather short-lived and little-known during their existence, subsequent musicians have cited the group as a profound influence, including the famous British grindcore band Napalm Death and the American hardcore band Dropdead, whose name was derived from the title of Siege’s demo of the same name.

Love the vibe of this project as a whole. SUPER depressed angry music which relies heavily on sound clips and audio collage is my jam especially in sludge. Feels like a more deprived and crusty version of Through Silver in Blood. Either way, the balance between the audio collage and more tradition crust/sludge sections is perfect and leaves me satisfied every time I listen (which is a lot) kaiiil
